Engraved Marble Keepsake For Friend

I received this item 1 day late, although fees were paid to expedite shipping. Upon opening, I noticed the corner had been "put back together" from what appears to have cracked. I understand there are variations; however, it is obvious where the corner was pieced together, indicated by the white markings. I've purchased from this company before but they have refused to correct the error stating "variations in color and markings are to be expected." I understand; however, not the case with this.
