This is a beautiful, HEAVY, high quality ornament made of white ceramic. It is round on the edges, but somewhat flat, so it is not a totally round globe shaped ball. The gold personalization is on one side only and is exactly as depicted in the photo/catalog/on-line; the other side is blank white. You can purchase in a beautiful velvet bag for gift giving and it is also delivered in a small shipping box with the bag (ornament tucked inside the bag). This is perfect for my friends who got married this year and are having their first American Christmas tree EVER! They will love it!
