Things Remembered & Make-A-Wish®

With your help over the last 16 years, we've raised more than $6.4 million for Make-A-Wish. That's helped Make-A-Wish grant hundreds of wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Our commitment to Make-A-Wish began in 1997, when a child named Elysia wished to give personalized gifts so she would always be remembered. What began with her wish is now a beloved annual program. With your help, we've raised more than $6.4 million to help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. You can view our 2013 Make-A-Wish collection here.

We offer a line of Make-A-Wish gifts. For every purchase of one of our Make-A-Wish collectibles, we'll donate $2 of the purchase price, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $150,000, to Make-A-Wish.

Meet Cael

Six-year-old Cael's wish

Cael's wish to spend a week relaxing with his family "at a hotel with a hot tub" came true. Make-A-Wish flew Cael and his family from Ohio to Myrtle Beach where all Cael wanted to do was to soak in a hot tub with his mother, father, and four siblings. The family enjoyed the aquarium, ate dinner with knights and kings at Medieval Times, and spent time on the Beach. Cael won his years-long battle with leukemia and life is now filled with school, cartoons and action figures, and sports practices. He loves to tag along with his older brothers and said he will never forget his wish come true. Your donation will help Make-A-Wish grant more wishes for kids like Cael.

Meet Anastasia

Nine-year-old Anastasia's wish

Anastasia's wish was to sing in front of famous people in Hollywood. Make-A-Wish flew her from Ohio to California and she appeared on a morning television show that was televised nationwide! Anastasia still goes to the hospital weekly for treatments for her nervous system tumor, but she says she loves school – it helps her feel like a normal 9 year old. Your donation will help Make-A-Wish grant more wishes for kids like Anastasia.

Meet Bailey

Eight-year-old Bailey's wish

Bailey's wish to go to New York and have tea with her doll Julie at the American Girl store came true. Suddenly, she was able to forget about her Pre-b Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma for a little while and laugh. Just as she's made so many people laugh with her infectious sense of humor that delights and charms all who meet her. Help grant more wishes like Bailey's with your donation.

Meet Sara

Nine-year-old Sarah's wish

All she wanted was a laptop to help take her mind off the struggles she faces as she battles a blood disease. But even when she's hurting, this is how she looks - smiling, laughing and trying to get you to do the same. She says she's just an ordinary kid. We think she's extraordinary.

Meet Olivia

About Olivia

Olivia was born with a heart condition. She had a stroke and five open heart surgeries. Despite all that, she is a happy little girl with a growl of a giggle. She loves miniature golf, swimming and playing with friends. (She wouldn't brag about it, but we will: she has a hole-in-one on her golfing resume!)

When Olivia's wish was granted last summer, it was the first time she went anywhere that didn't involve doctors, a hospital visit or an invasive procedure. Each time you buy a Make-A-Wish? collectible, you help make a wish come true for a brave child like Olivia.

Update on Emily

How Emily is doing now

Emily and her family list their trip to Hawaii as one of the best experiences they've ever had. Emily was featured in Things Remembered stores during the 2008 holiday season. At the time, she was enduring treatments for leukemia.

A year later, she's off treatment and is doing very well!

Emily says she'd like to thank Things Remembered and Make-A-Wish for their support.
