This globe is really beautiful in person We purchased this as a gift for a promotion to our friend, he LOVED it. It is really beautiful in person and it was much more than we expected to spend, but I really love the details and since every globe is handmade, no two are alike. Cool, but with poor quality I got this globe for my husband's second Father's Day. Since he won't be home on Father's Day, I decided to give it to him today. The first thing we noticed was the base of the globe which was made out of cheap plastic, and not only that the message plate wasn't even attached to the bottom. For the price you pay for this item, I expected the base to have higher quality. It would be much nicer if it was made out of some sort of real wood, since it will sit on an executive desk. The globe on the other hand is very beautiful. Overall, it's a nice present. June 14, 2012
